Die Kristallisation von Mehrkomponentensystemen aus hochpolymeren Stoffen
1977
R&D Network Formation with Myopic and Farsighted Firms
2018
We study the formation of R&D networks when each firm benefits from the research done by other firms it is connected to. Firms can be either myopic or farsighted when deciding about the links they want to form. We propose the notion of myopic-farsighted stable set to determine the R&D networks that emerge in the long run. When the majority of firms is myopic, stability leads to R&D networks consisting of either two asymmetric components with the largest component comprises three-quarters of firms or two symmetric components of nearly equal size with the largest component having only myopic firms. But, once the majority of firms becomes farsighted, only R&D networks with two asymmetric compo…

The Use of Silicones as Extractants of Biologically Active Substances from Vegetable Raw Materials
2021
Based on theoretical studies, the authors of this paper propose the use of cosmetic organosilicon polymers (commonly called silicones) for the extraction of a complex of biologically active substances contained in vegetable raw materials. It is important to note that the biological molecules do not interact with the organosilicones and, therefore, their properties are not altered after the extraction. In this work, we investigate the efficiency of several polyorganosiloxanes as extractants of vegetable raw materials (Calendula Officialis L. and Artemisia Absinthium L.) useful for the preparation of cosmetic emulsions. Specifically, the extraction studies were conducted by using polyorganosi…
Design of a Low Cost 3D Printable Single-Component Compliant Mechanism for FWMAV’s Wing Actuation
2021
Considering a modern approach to design, one of the viable options for developing innovative projects is the possibility of integrating the effectiveness of the solutions offered by nature and living beings with the latest design methods. With this in mind, the following research exploits the idea of reproducing the natural flexibility inherent in biological structures by combining the advantages of compliant mechanisms with the adaptability of additive manufacturing processes. In the specific, the authors intend to highlight the potential and critical aspects of a possible approach for the application of compliant mechanisms in the development of single-component structures suitable for th…
QENS from polymer aggregates in supercritical CO2
2000
Abstract We report QENS measurements from PS-b-PFOA aggregates in supercritical CO2. Line shapes are dominated by localized diffusive modes and segmental dynamics of the anchored, finite-length PFOA chains. For Q⩽0.6 A−1, we obtain effective diffusion coefficients of ≅0.8 10−6 cm2/s. At higher Q, a single component is not sufficient as shown by excess intensity on the flanks. For Q⩾1.5 A−1, the wings reflect contributions due to a distribution of faster, more localized chain modes.
New Viscoelastic Materials Obtained by Insertion of anα-Olefin in atrans-Polyisoprene Chain with a Single-Component Organolanthanide Catalyst
2001
Copolymerisation of isoprene with C 6 -C 18 a-olefins by a single component organolanthanide catalyst affords poly(trans-1,4-isoprene) containing 6-10% of inserted olefin. The mechanical properties of highly crystalline transpolyisoprene are dratically modified after insertion of the alkyl chains, leading to quasi-amorphous viscoelastic materials.
